TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT MY WORK
ONNDA FLAME
A collection of candle holders with infinitely mirrored flames trailing off into the colorful abyss. Paying homage to the primordial element, Onnda Flame places fire at the heart of otherworldly objects.
ONNDA LIGHT
Onnda Light is the result of Catrinel‘s interest in shaping light using optical material properties. The luminaires are composed of a Neon Led tube placed behind sheets of specially coated optical plexiglass. The light's journey through the material is marked by unexpected hues of colors and transparencies.
Timescapes
The installation is composed of three types of pendulums: human, geological and astral. Their movement pattern the temporal landscape of the space it refers to.
Morfoza
Light & color out of this world, is a unique and versatile luminaire using the light spectrum to create mesmerizing light effects.
URMA CLOCK
Urma displays the passage of time in a more organic manner, as a continuous change of phase. Such ways of measuring time are common in nature, eg moon phases, the sun, etc., however, our clocks are only depicting the present instance.
MIRA
Mira is a light installation inspired by our continuous fight against entropy and impermanence, which questions the effect human presence has on the behaviour of objects and light.
Looking at, looking through
Through the installation "Looking at, looking through" we intend to transform the Trancu bridge from a passage point, into a destination in itself. The site has a pyramidal structure as its central point, on the faces of which we will be attaching a semi-transparent material called dichroic foil.
MUR MUR
The installation marks the route of the inhabitants and visitors of the building. The installation is made of dichroic plexiglass pieces arranged in an organic pattern, inspired by the flight of birds in flocks.
